Son To Mother

Get too chummy with girls,
Your ears will dry up and drop, you said.
If you are naughty,
God will strike you blind, you said.
I got you in exchange
For a winnow of bran, you said.
What a lot of lies, mother, you told me
When I was young !

What made you stop?
Did you see my innocence drying up?
Or
Did you thinkI could survive with truths only?
Perhaps you thought,
Lies for grown ups were beyond your ken !
I don't like it.
Wean me Mother, when you like,
But feed me your liesfor all time..
You love me,

Don't you?

This one is SO SWEET!!!! :)
..and true! :(

Nice work... in last few minutes like a time machine you took me a few years back...

At some point in between those little sweet lies disappeared; bedtime stories were replaced by books, as my frocks were replaced with skirts.

But "We got you in exchange" lies used to scare me a lot and half the time I end up writing letters to god and post them behind Lord Krishna's picture to know the truth.

Never did I get any reply..
